Smallest fattest government

The most fascinating irony of our times is the success of superimposing the brutal Roman democracy upon a modern constitution, and then stretching it in all dimensions of cruelty in just a few years. However, the recent events are only a manifestation of a bad case scenario. As opportunities for international profitability shrink we shall see worse scenarios, unless we convert some of the government’s fat to service.

Our species have caused the extinction of many species in our quest for food. In our attempts to facilitate obtaining food, we have caused the extinction of more species by eliminating the competition, and the predators. However, we finally reached the intellectual level to realize our atrocities and began to save the species, such as buffalos, from extinction. We seem to be less generous to ourselves.

From the beginning we also learned that weapons were effective in exploiting our own species. We also learned that superstitions, and traditions that would generate fear, were just as effective as weapons. However, the most effective weapon against large masses has been the abuse of rule of law by democratically elected representatives. You are constantly reminded that the votes, and therefore the wishes of the majority are in control. Whether the majority refers to actual voters or the resources that affect the outcome of voting is lost in deceptions and artificial ambiguities.

A fascistic democracy is a democratically skirted fascism supporting the ideals of a group of controlling capitalists, where the ideals are driven solely by the desire for higher profitability. We own the fattest government ever, and yet it is effectively invisible when we need it, especially in our old age. The sole purpose of the government is the creation of national and international opportunities for the profitability of the controlling masters of our country.

Indeed, the president states that we do not torture. Ironically, he also acknowledges the rarity of jobs and loss of homes. Millions wake up, assuming they fell asleep at all, with the fear of loss of their lowered paying jobs that are being exported. They start their day with the torturous anxiety of losing their homes while the oil companies are making billions in profit. I wonder what is the definition of torture that the president has in mind.

We need to get over the traditions and connotations imposed on terms like social. We must get something out of our fattest government other than its services for the rich and the protection of their profit levels. If we leave all services, such as education and health open to profitability, we are going to see much worse scenarios than current conditions, with higher frequency of occurrence. After all, we can only create so many wars without being challenged. Thus, the focus of profitability will be more than ever the basic needs of the nation itself.

Legalizing certain forms of theft so the masses can be robbed results in other forms of theft, including bank robberies and burglaries. Regardless of how it is skirted, giving billions of tax dollars as incentives to oil companies is theft. Just because it is legal does not mean it is not stealing. Tax dollars are not personal so someone can simply write a check against them.

The largest government with largest budget imaginable is so small and insignificant with regard to providing for its children, elderly and those who need medical help. Does anyone ever wonder what is the purpose of a monstrous government with enormous budget when such a huge percentage of the population is suffering from poverty? How is this the wish of the majority? Are we so savage and selfish or are we being manipulated?

An all win corruption

Our so-called democracy has degenerated to the initial conception of a democratic government. Basically, a body of mercenaries for fooling the population into believing that, they are on the side of the people. Using the disguise of a representative, they propose solutions for their masters that keeps the population of slaves under control and voluntarily obedient. Recently, we have also applied the technique of endowing the leader with divine attributes.

Lobbying has established a double-edge winning tradition in favor of corporations. Republicans will cut taxes for the rich and democrats will flood the country with immigrants thereby shrinking salaries and wages. Occasionally someone enters the White House to boost our corporate foreign policy. The fact that we are talking about all of this in a democratic system simply means that we as the people have lost the war of poverty.

In ancient times, opening the city gate for enemy soldiers was treason because the soldiers would take peoples’ belongings and rape their daughters. Well, the loss of jobs causes people to lose their homes, and their daughters end up working for playboy. Thus, in a country that jobs are a matter of life and death, anyone deliberately causing loss of jobs is a traitor. Overflowing the country with cheaper foreign skills hurts millions in favor of a few corporate traitors.

A private business, such as insurance and banking cannot make its own laws. However, our lawmakers have been quite creative in providing the private sector with the opportunity to dictate its set of laws to our nation. Thanks to lobbying, instead of a single dictator we can have any number of them, turning us into a democratically multi-dictatorship nation, or a government-backed anarchism. In particular, lobbying is an effective technique for legalization of theft, a generalization of legacy of Al Capon.

The management of our retirement plan is the most vivid example of unequal treatment. Social security taxes are collected on the first $97,000 of any salary. This is so the rich pay less into a Social Service, but they delightfully accept large social security checks at their retirement.

The rich do not need social security checks for their daily lives. So, our elected representatives solve the retirement financial problems by raising the retirement age instead of raising the cap on social security taxes. This is so brutal that is hard to explain. Just think for a moment and observe who is more likely to live longer, and therefore who will be receiving the social security checks for many years of their lives. You should easily see the only one reason for raising retirement age and imposing a cap on social security taxes.

No human being other than vulture capitalists would make people work until the age of 70 for their basic needs. Note that these people make less than $100,000 and will be paying into social security, perhaps until they die. In fact, their social security checks are so small that they will need to work until they die.

The vulture capitalists easily demonize fair representatives through their corrupted media. A tiny percentage of our elected representatives actually represent 90 percent of our population. The rest are the mercenaries of the rich, or one of their relatives representing them in our Legislative Branch.

The search for profit by manipulating a nation’s laws will continue to bring extreme miseries to those of us who depend on the availability of jobs. A participating nation can prevent the abuse of its democratic system. However, such social advancements require the participation of almost the entire nation. We are, and we will be kept too far from the day that our entire nation will live like a small family, the way Jesus taught.

A mutable constitution is useless

For any type of democracy, constitution is the framework that determines the power of each branch of government. It is contradictory, and indeed absurd for any branch to have the constitutional power to modify the constitutional framework itself.

One does not have to be a lawyer to understand that, if a branch can modify the constitution, there is no point in having one at first place. It is just as plain and simple to see that a mutable constitution is equivalent to dictatorship.

In accordance to the Constitution of the United States of America, the power to declare war belongs to the Legislative Branch. The transfer of such power to the Executive Branch is not within the power of any branch because such transfer or delegation is equivalent to modifying the Constitution.

What I am saying is plain and simple. The Congress and the Senate do not have the power to vote on a legislation that delegates the power for declaring war to the Executive Branch. Somehow this has been done, conveniently providing Mr. Bush with the opportunity to invade Iraq. The question is, who or what oversees such violations of the Constitution?

Turning to the war itself, anyone can easily tell that the outcome of the war has brought miseries to the majority of Americans, and all Iraqis. A small percentage of Americans associated with private sector have profited big, indeed very big. As an additional help their tax burden has been drastically lowered for even more absurd profit levels, already in the billions.

Since the war is strictly benefiting a certain group of people in our country, shouldn’t they pay for the cost of the war? I know they will want our children to make the ultimate sacrifice. What about our little ones that will be the men and women of a few years from now? Should they pay for a war that they had nothing to do with? So, Mr. Bush wants us to sacrifice our children now, and use our tomorrow’s children to pay for a war that took away their parents, brothers and sisters? Why can we not stop this madness?

So, what is the end game?

Here we are, all nations at the United Nations declaring their support for democracy, love and passion for humanity. Yet, the only observable change is in the rise of poverty, crime and the wealth of a few. This observable pattern used to be local to small societies. The pattern extended itself to whole nations, and now it has spread its domain to the globe. So, what is the end game?

There is a difference between globalization of poverty, and its initial form of localized poverty all over the globe. In the localized case, occasionally people were able to rise against their oppressors and change things around, at least for a short while. Globalization of poverty is controlled by ever advancing spying and killing technologies. So, what is the end game?

Billions are born in poverty, living miserable lives while producing huge profits for the few. Millions live better lives by serving the profitability purposes of the few. So, what is the end game?

What purpose is served, outside of the satisfying lives for a few, to have a few super rich manipulate governments, politicians and scientists? Where are we going with this? So, what is the end game?

Money that can be used for manipulating governments and controlling militaries is worse than nuclear arsenal. The radiation from such money will continue to increase in intensity and harm huge populations. So, what is the end game?

Extreme globalized oppression energizes rage and hatred and marks death the only path to salvation. So perhaps, the end game is the observable gradual globalization of rise of the oppressed.

Prostitution of Science

The criteria for ranking a country should not be based on the existence of certain advanced services. The correct measure is the degree of guarantee of the availability of such services to all citizens. Under Mr. Bush, our nation has been lowered in rank to a third world country.

This article attempts to illustrate a form of prostitution associated with the essential services of our nation enforced by the privileged class of Mr. Bush. Confining the use of such services to the royal class of the privileged ones is a practice of the past. Humanity has come a long way in facilitating the distribution and use of scientific and technological achievements. Imposing artificial limits on the availability of essential services is a sickening form of fascism that humanity must eradicate as a continuation of the process of eliminating dictators.

The privileged ones love prostitution resulting from imposed poverty. This kind of control guarantees that a cure for a major disease, such as cancer or the Alzheimer’s will be readily available to them. The term prostitution is used to clearly indicate that most scientific research is done in order to sell the cures to the privileged class who can afford it. Thus, unless you are rich you are not a human and therefore the product of research does not apply to you.

So, why does a physician go through a harsh program for learning the profession? After all, physicians deal with human body, which has no indication of rich or poor. For a physician, a patient is just a human in need of their professional attention. Nonetheless, a physician cannot work for free when he/she must pay for everything. It is therefore the system that makes it appear as if a physician only prostitutes his/her services to those who can afford it. A physician’s service is not for sale, but the privileged ones like it that way because it guarantees its immediate availability upon their demand, same as paying for prostitution.

Selling products of scientific research to a class of people who can afford is by no means objectionable. However, when such products relate to matters of health, education and similar essential human needs, there should not be objection to the role of the government in making them available to the entire nation, either.

America has the capacity to take care of its citizens without resorting to charitable institutions. Such institutions are indispensable in complementing minor cases of irregularities that may occur locally, or in major cases of natural disasters. However, they are not suitable mechanisms as a substitute for lack of government planning.

The ranking of a country should not be based on the luxurious life of a small percentage of its population. As far as living conditions for the majority of our population we are a third world country. The existence of advanced services does not guarantee their availability to the citizens. Quite to the contrary, our social system or lack of it, guarantees the denial of such services to the much larger portion of the nation.

Essential services are protected with the invisible fence of increasing cost. This artificial monetary control keeps them off limits thereby ensuring their prompt availability for the privileged class. It goes without saying that a lot of such essential services are wasted, like a pile of good food that a rich throws away after each meal.

It should also be clear that the reduction in the number of people who can afford essential services increases their cost, and discourages interest in pursuing the profession. Since Mr. Bush holds an MBA, I must assume that he has done everything with perfect understanding of the consequences of his actions. What is not a mistake is the result of deliberation.

Mr. Bush has looted the nation’s budget for the next several years and presented it as a gift to his privileged class. In effect, he has foreclosed the country on the middle class. After he leaves the White House, the slaves of the middle class will begin their agonizing recovery from debt for years without the monetary power to pay for their families’ essential needs. The only solution is to take back the gifts and use them in providing the essential needs. This will help the recovery of the middle class without the unfair denial of basic benefits for working so hard in the most advanced country in the world.

Vultures feed on weak preys and a strong democracy will curtail the abundance of victims. Therefore, their starting point has been the weakening of our democracy through lies and deceptions, simply labeled as politics. Few democratic nations in history have painfully counted the days remaining for their leader to leave the seat of power. I have a feeling that history will record Mr. Bush’s departure as a mini-independence day.

Disadvantages of Socialized Services

In Gift to President I described a concrete case where the budget for state universities was reduced in order to increase an already sizable budget for a few private colleges. Since only the children of the rich could afford those colleges, it should be clear that this action had nothing to do with socialism or capitalism.

The issue here is the sickening fact that the mercenaries of the rich, so-called elected public servants, deceive us by using terms that they have painted dull and undesirable such as big government. The fact is that the children of the rich need a lot of pampering for receiving a college degree. These children are too spoiled to attend a publicly supported state university. Therefore, instead of our taxes supporting all the children, we must work hard and pay into the royal education of the rich babies.

Indeed, the rich would love to see only a few well-funded great schools that only their children can afford. Well, now that we also have public colleges why not lobby the elected charlatans and turn this into an opportunity. Obviously, as the budget for a university decreases the tuition and other fees will have to increase. This provides a great opportunity for burying educated work force under student loans. What a great American Dream to give young work force jobs only so they pay pack the masters for decades.

There is a lot of on going attack on universal health coverage, involving the terms big government and socialized medicine. So, let us see what is the problem with a plan for universal health care that is not socialized medicine.

Under universal care, everyone will afford to see a doctor or have a hospital treatment. There are 47 million uninsured who have a job, and probably as many who do not appear in statistics due to lack of job. That will add a third of the population to the eligible users of the pool of doctors and hospitals. Well, that creates an unacceptable inconvenience to the masters of our country. The masters must keep the demand low so the supply of doctors and hospitals will continue to be available to them as a luxury with little or no wait. Why should they be bothered with the health of the unprivileged working for them?

Obviously, the masters are also concerned about the use of tax money for everyone. Their notion of taxation is collecting money from subjects for the welfare and purposes of the dukes and barons. One does not spend tax money for those who pay the tax.

The purpose of tax is to protect the palaces of the masters inside the country, and their interests outside of our borders. Since they own our country, military, health system and everything else, we must supply funds for all of that in order to be allowed to live in our own country. So, when we say God bless America we are really saying God bless our masters so we can live miserably serving their ever-growing needs for more power towards increasing their pleasures in life.

We are just the unprivileged slaves that Spartacus left behind. If you do not consider yourself a slave while living like one, you are a happy person. Just keep trying to think of an invention, and soon you will have your American Dream fulfilled.

The fundamental paradox of democracy

Theorizing the origins of the moon is considerably easier than crafting a theory for a peaceful life on earth. The universe is regular in that it does not change its behavior for profitability. On the other hand, social theories must take into account the fact that there is an abundance of anomalies amongst us carrying the genes of indecency, corruption and deception. This article is written with the hope that we still have a chance to regain our democracy for the sake of our children.

In a pack, as far as the alpha male is concerned the law is that no other males will engage in mating activities with females of his choice. As the pack grows in size the alpha male appoints loyal beta males to smaller packs who may further appoint gamma males to serve them, and so on. That is the social system of Saudi Arabia, and yet we are surprised of all the unrest from that country. Even the name of the country is the last name of the alpha male.

In a fertile land where farmers could produce food from soil and cattle, we see a more elaborate system of laws as the commandments, 10 of which have stood the test of time as being applicable to all human societies. Whether the laws were handed over from the Creator Himself to Moses, or came about as traditions due to circumstances, is a matter of fate. The point here is to cite a major example of the notion of social laws protecting individual rights in a society.

Mohammad emphasized the significance of specific physical penalties for failure to follow the laws. After all, it is only appropriate to have earthly punishments for breaking the laws of God on earth. Indeed, we are so obsessed with the notion of democracy that we tend to overlook the significance of more primitive building blocks for social order.

The primitive laws are so fundamental that all nations have conceived them in their own ways. For instance, we used to hang a human who was thought to have stolen a horse, even when we had a democratic system in place. The point of this discussion is to emphasize the significance of earthly punishment associated with breaking a given law.

As a final example, consider a simple contemporary case. When I am unable to pay the property tax on my car, my action is illegal. I will be arrested, fined etc. The question is not whether I simply forgot to renew my car tag, or I am unable to pay. All that matters is failing to follow the law, regardless of the circumstances that caused me to do so. Like any other law, there are penalties associated with my failure that will be exercised against me. This is as it is supposed to be.

Now, administrative failures in enforcing the laws of a country are not considered as failure to follow any law. Stated differently, we trust a president would sacrifice his life for the well being of his nation in the same spirit as youngsters sacrifice their lives in protecting their nation. Therefore, no one ever thought of constitutional ingredients that could be used as a basis for laws against failing to uphold the law by the executive branch.

As we are witnessing, a democracy can be hijacked. Once this happens, failures to enforce the laws of nation will be the result of negligence, and at times deliberation. It is a good time to focus on establishing the criteria for penalizing a president who fails to enforce the laws, rather than being satisfied with resignation of his cabinet members. To that end, we need laws regarding the failure to enforce the laws, as well as the criteria that determines such failure.

What should matter is the failure, not the cause of failure precisely as a person is discharged for failing to follow a certain procedure. Obviously the definition of failure in the context of running a country is quite complex. However, presently we are experiencing a graphic example to guide us.

It is generally believed that candidates win elections by receiving the majority of votes. Surprisingly, the majority seems to ask the elected candidates to pass and enforce the laws that benefit only a small fraction of the population. This phenomenon is the fundamental paradox of democracy.

You are against us therefore you are not with us

Everyone understands miscalculations resulting from inaccurate intelligence. Indeed, we all make mistakes, sometimes quite costly ones. However, the president of the richest superpower in the history of mankind has all the resources at his disposal to rectify even catastrophic mistakes.

Mr. President, you are either with us, or else you are against us. The idea of occupying the White House is to protect us, and help our nation achieve peace and prosperity. You have brought nothing for us except death, miseries and poverty. You have used the actions of Bin Laden towards profitability for special interests instead of punishing the terrorists.

Our nation’s problems are mounting while oil companies continue to create artificial circumstances for higher profitability. In return, our president gives billions of dollars from our taxes to oil companies simply as a gift. This clearly demonstrates that the president is not with us.

Mr. President, you are going to get our brave children killed in protecting your friends’ interests in the middle east. You have used the finest resources of our nation for control of energy for the advantage of your friends. You have given rise to an army of terrorists that we must fight for years to come.

Mr. President, you have neglected our nation’s needs and instead you have used our resources in facilitating profitability for your friends. You have actively helped import workforce that we had no need for, and you have facilitated the exportation of our jobs.

Mr. President, you have no regrets for all the agony that you have brought upon us because you are not with us. However, your lack of conscience has helped the nation understand the oxymoron nature of a government-backed anarchism. So, vulture capitalist want the government out of everything except for their tax cuts and wars to protect their international interests. Well then, Mr. President, tear down this oil wall.

GWB effect and the real face of terrorism

This note was published on 8/31/07 at GWB effect.

The events and examples mentioned in this note are intended for drawing conclusions related to sociology, and possibly finding solutions. A scientist should not drown himself (herself) in his research in an attempt to avoid hearing the voices of agony. The souls voicing their pain are innocents, like the scientist, under torture by criminals of humanity.

The Glide from White to Black (GWB), or from Light to Dark will be explained as a consequence of inner acquisition. Sociology is a science obscured by politics. Sociological theories are derived from observations of events that have already occurred. Thus, if the events are skirted with false outfits, theories derived from the observations of such events are inherently fraudulent and will inevitably recycle the unpleasant events of the past.

In simple words and taking mechanics as an example, future events will occur in accordance to the actual reality of laws of physics, independent of how we theorize the laws based on our perceptions. Thus, Global Warming will continue on its natural course independent of the 100-billion-dollar articles published by EXXON supported researchers.

By the way, we pay for the cost of false research through research incentives presented as birthday gifts from son to father. In other words, the nation is sucked to bankruptcy so oil companies will have the capital to support false research. This is an example of GWB effect where masses are looted and the trophies are distributed among supporters.

The GWB effect has frequently surfaced in the brief history of mankind. In every case the cause of this bizarre phenomenon has been a selfish sub-intelligent inheriting, and at times acquiring the power to control the resources of a relatively advanced nation.

Theoretically speaking, the purpose of electing a leader is to eliminate inheritance, as well as the acquisition of power. Prior to the process of election, acquisition was achieved by conquering a nation through war. Presently, we see two forms of acquisition, the inner and the outer methods.

The outer method of acquisition is relatively easy to control for an advanced nation. For instance, America can easily stop other countries from buying out its major technological industries. Considering the fact that America is a superpower, one can easily conclude that the source of all of our problems is the inner acquisition of this power for pursuing personal interests. Hence, we need to theorize ways that will make a democratic nation inner-acquisition resistant.

Once an inner acquisition takes place, it grows generating more cancerous cells inflicting extreme pain and agony to the infected nation. It only ends when the infected nation dies, and as Jesus puts it, “it is reborn” from within. The GWB effect of an inner acquisition is the real face of terrorism that destroys millions of lives just as plague did, except it is more prolonged and painful than plague.

So far in our history, the death of nations has either been terminal, or near-death experience. In the latter case, some cancerous cells remain floating around until they regain the power, and the cycle begins all over again.

Mankind needs to solve this problem so the rebirth acts more like pasteurization, and without creating chaos and destruction. Indeed, chaos and destruction will be caused by, the anomalies and the cancerous cells. The recent case of anthrax should serve as an example for future generations. It is ridiculous to even think that a superpower was unable to find the source of the anthrax attack, and now it is conveniently forgotten.

In a tightly controlled society with perpetrators fully protected by a strangled democracy and a corrupted media, the rebirth of a nation is simply a facelift for perpetrators. The death of the nation merely brings prolonged miseries to millions, while keeping the cancerous cells out of harms way.

Accordingly, any suggestion for pasteurization process will fail until we first solve the more fundamental problem of the relationship between a citizen and his nation. As things are, a child born to a citizen could have been born in any country for all that matters. What actually matters is the fact that somehow the child grows into an adult that can be used in profitable ways, and produce more children to replace him/her.

Essentially, vulture capitalists want to keep all the money they suck out of everyone, and continue to amuse themselves by catching us as fishes looking for our basic needs. Vulture capitalists know very well that once the control of our basic needs are taken away from them, it will be the people who decide, as a democracy is meant to be.

In simple and plain words, maintaining control over basic needs is not merely for profitability, as Michael Moore portrays. Citizens whose basic needs are not threatened are free and will control the course of political activities. Thus, the actual purpose of maintaining control of our basic needs is to take away our freedom. We are an enslaved nation permitted to express its sufferings.

Consider the following example of GWB effect. A scientist has a fixed income, and has probably borrowed some money to pay for health-related matters for his family. Suddenly, oil companies decide to tax him by raising their prices. The company that provides electricity to his house passes on their taxes to him. The latter is an indirect tax paid to the oil companies.

Now, with substantial reduction in scientist’s income, he has to make a choice between punishing his family for what he believes in, and selling his talent to the oil companies for research funds. This person is a hostage. He is not free to make his desired choice, but later he cannot contradict himself, either. Thus, the GWB effect has glided a fine person into darkness. We usually refer to this as selling one’s soul to the Devil.

Rudy Jiuliani, in his latest campaign, repeatedly asked, “They want to take away from you for the common good. Does that make sense”? He emphasized his plan for further tax cuts beyond what Mr. Bush has already accomplished, and ridiculed socialized medicine. Then, one of his supporters spoke in his defense, making the following amazing remarks.

“Last year I wrote a check for $200,000 for my employees’ 401K. If I am taxed for a $100,000 that money must come from somewhere. I will have to take it out of 401K contributions. Just like you have goals in life, I have my goals. So, if the government takes my profit away, I have to get it from elsewhere.”

That is so beautifully stated that speaks for itself. In effect, Mr. Jiuliani wants his masters to have total control over our minimum basic needs, and let them collect even more profit so perhaps they will be generous to throw their leftover to us. And we must fight like dogs to get a piece of the leftover. How can a nation terrorized to the lowest level of indecency claim to support a decent democracy?

Mr. Bloomberg prefers the oxymoron phrase “There is no free lunch” when referring to socialized basic needs, in particular socialized medicine. He means to imply that the services are provided freely, and right away adds that the people of those countries are heavily taxed. Now, even a monkey knows that no one can continue to receive social services without working a good portion of his/her life except Bloomberg et al, which is why the phrase is oxymoron.

By the way, are we really paying less tax than the countries that provide socialized medicine? Are other taxes such as social security considered when making that claim? How about the other half of social security paid by the employer? Note that, just because the employer is making the payment on your behalf does not mean that the employer is being benevolent. You are paying the employer’s half through your work. How about sales tax, property tax and whatever else tax? So I ask again, are we really paying less tax than other countries, or is it Mr. Bloomberg who is getting away with paying his fair share of taxes?

The term fairness in a social context means that the laws must treat citizens as equals in all respects. Now, calculate all types of taxes that you pay for a salary under $100,000. Make sure you consider all taxes that the employer is paying on your behalf. The employer is only paying such taxes because you are doing something profitable for him. Therefore, any tax paid on your behalf for the job you are performing is tax paid by you.

Finally, estimate other types of taxes, such as sales tax. You will see that you are taxed for well over half of your earnings. Next, make sure you understand that taxes paid by Mr. Bloomberg on you behalf, such as social security taxes, is not his tax. His earning is like yours, which are his salary and his profit. So, how is it that you pay more than half of your earning into tax, but he only pays a small fraction of it? Is this not a skewed version of social equality following from GWB effect?

What Caesar Bloomberg is really saying is the following.
“So long as I am pleased with your performance towards my profitability, I will let you have lunch. At any time of my choosing, without regard to your qualifications, experience, years of service and your children, I can deny you and your family from having lunch. Thus, make sure that I remain pleased at any cost to your health and your family. You solely exist to please me.”

Moving to the recent mortgage disaster, when a huge percentage of citizens are forcibly removed from their homes and left on their own along with their children, the country is under attack. As far back as we can tell from history, when citizens of a nation are under attack the ruling body takes immediate protective actions.

The fact that the attack emanates from within, it qualifies as an act of terrorism. The claim that a large percentage of population collectively made stupid decisions is unjustifiable. They simply did not anticipate the suction of funds by oil companies to support their false research, among other things. The repercussions of increase in gas prices suddenly reduced their income to the level of poverty, as another demonstration of GWB effect.

It is my observation that the GWB effect in America has reached its peak. The inner-acquisition of power by corporations has advanced to a point where it will continue to give itself appropriate facelifts for many years to come. We will be lured to pursue opportunities for financial freedom rather than paying attention to a plan for social life. Those of us who can make a difference, like scientists, are mostly taken hostage and will act contrary to their true beliefs. America will be flooded with new immigrants seeking jobs and displacing old timers towards profitability for corporations. My sorrow is for the masses that will live painfully miserable lives so a few can enjoy a pleasurable ride, for years to come.

The cost of freedom is high. The question is, who takes the burden of the cost and who benefits from the secured freedom. Perhaps if we shared the cost and the benefits of freedom, there would not be as many wars. Maybe we should focus on freedom from GWB effect as the actual source of terrorism.

May God bless America.

Science is God’s language

This note was published on 8/26/07 at Science.

The main argument in this article is that religion and evolution are not mutually exclusive.

Taking the scientific view, it is generally believed that water is a necessary condition for existence of life on a planet. Some scientists would rather say that the existence of water is a good indication that there might be life on a planet. That simply means that water is not a necessary condition for life to exist.

Let us start out at a point where life has already begun, accidentally or through creation. Only intelligent life forms are able to control environmental changes via technological means. So how do other living things on the same planet survive? The question of survival is significant with regard to the continued existence of life as a whole, not with regard to any particular species. Indeed, sudden climate changes have wiped out nations of our kind even in recent history.

While life is extremely fragile, perpetual change is the characteristic of environment and climate. Consequently, a form of life that is incapable of adaptation will cease to exist. Thus, evolution is a necessary condition for life to continue to exist, once it starts at all. Saying it differently, evolution is a mechanism built into life so it can adapt to the changes in its environment and to continue to exist. This conclusion applies to all forms of life that may have started on any planet.

The issue of dispute is not adaptations resulting from short repetitive environmental variations like seasonal changes. Evolution is referred to adaptations that transcend generations resulting in species with different DNA than their ancestors. Evidently, events similar to the birth of a mule do not fall in this category because parents are from different species.

The necessity of evolution for continued existence of life does not imply that life on our planet was accidental. Quite to the contrary, the evolution mechanism is so complex that it is unlikely to be the result of a series of random accidents. In order for the laws of evolution to exist, there must be fundamental particles of life (like virus) that obey the laws, and then reflect a more complex version of those laws in larger organisms that are composed of them.

The disagreement between religion and science should not be the statement, “God created man”. Rather, the source of dispute should be the process by which God created the man. Except for the final process, namely the creation of man, there is no implication that any other species where created once and for all, without transcendental transformations. In fact, Genesis does not provide any bases for rejecting an evolutionary process of creation.

Perhaps someday we will find out exactly how we suddenly started to walk this planet. Until then, religion does not have to reject evolution. The only dispute, if any, is whether man was created spontaneously, or as the final stage in the evolutionary process of creation. Science is God’s language for stating the laws of evolution. The prerequisite for learning to speak this language is not defiance of God.

Social Structure

Intelligent species extend the laws of evolution to their social structure. Initially, as small tribes we started out quite well. After all, all members of a tribe were needed for survival, and everyone had sufficient mutual experience with everyone else in order to care about them.

In larger societies, the tribal love and care transforms to love for one’s family. In a complex society such as ours, nationality extends the boundaries of the notion of family. Nevertheless, the source of our miseries is the vulnerability of democracy against corruption, and the effective use of corruption by vulture capitalists.

When a rich man approached Jesus seeking salvation, Jesus told him to give his riches to the poor and return to Him. When the man left, Jesus stated the most fundamental law of our social structure, “This man will not come back”. Simply put, it is the evolution of our social structure that will eradicate social miseries and slavery of the masses, not the enthusiasm of the rich people. Our only solution is the elimination of corruption from the body of our lawmakers, a formidable if not an impossible scenario.

Iraq War

Not a single person on this planet can say a word against the great work that our soldiers are doing in Iraq. Furthermore, going to Iraq and removal of the dictator was not such a bad idea if that was the actual goal. Our troubles started when Mr. Bush showed his hand by reserving all rebuilding contracts for his friends.

In recent meeting in Canada, Mr. Bush threw a line of dissatisfaction against the Iraqi leaders in his speech to help our corrupted media divert attention from the real intent of the meeting. That meeting was for committing more of our enslaved population to the expansion of the business of yet another friend, the Walton family.

As far as Iraq war, our soldiers have done what is rather impossible to achieve by any other army. And yet, our nation is losing its bright youngsters, and growing poorer so a few families will benefit so much as to surround their palaces with anti-missile technology.

I do not argue that pulling out of Iraq will have a worse outcome. However, we can work on this without allowing the perpetrators to continue to benefit from it. As a nation we are betraying our soldiers, and their great accomplishments. We seem to be the only free nation volunteering for slavery, or are we free?

Heroes and Imposters

This note was published on 8/14/2007 at Heroes and Imposters.

Capitalism and democracy are two great ideas that can coexist peacefully so long as democracy is in control. Once capitalism takes over, it uses democracy as a means for a small percentage of population finding pleasure and satisfaction in bringing miseries to the much greater majority. The focus of democracy will be no more than preserving the state of matters to the taste of vulture capitalists.

It is unlikely that God created us with our eventual destruction in mind. It is more logical to assume that at certain points in our history He gives us a hand to avoid Armageddon. Otherwise, our future depends on how we will deploy our accidental intelligence. In the latter case, given the rising percentage of bushes in the forest of trees of humanity, the most likely eventuality is that the bushes will consume the trees and end humanity by devouring one another. Thus, Armageddon could only be the consequence of our accidental creation, and may be avoided.

A nation with 90 percent of its population oppressed by 9 percent for the interests of 1 percent is not democratic. The democracy being exported to other countries is a screen-savor for stretching the size of the 90 percent of our population. All we get out of a two-century-old constitution that is the pride of humanity, is the ability to bark so long as we are not too loud, AKA freedom of speech. Ironically, freedom of speech has become an attractive means for selling TV commercials.

Our social and scientific evolutions have been on different paths. Socially, we have been going in circles and forced to repeat the same unfortunate events with leader substitutions. This is because science is open for research and is well documented. On the other hand, social events are studied through history, which is mainly available in fabricated forms.

The notions of conservatism and liberalism are relative to nation or a person’s interests. Consider Kennedy’s objection to using wind for generating electricity solely because some members of his family do not like to see the generators from the Kennedy’s private island. This is a form of liberalism in which the laws of nation are manipulated for personal conservatism.

Lying to save the life of a family member is not equivalent to lying because a family member wants the sun to rise from west. It is not a law of nature that someone whose last name is not Kennedy, Bush or Walton should live a miserable life of a slave so those owning the last names, in a manner similar to kings and princesses, can live a full luxury life filled with comfort and pleasure.

Nations will remember their heroes forever. However, it is the man that makes the name, not the other way round. Our democracy would be more reasonable if it limited the number of terms a person could remain a senator or a representative. Furthermore, the people would do themselves a lot of good if they do not simply vote for a name lest they elect a wolf dressed as sheep.

Being rich is not the issue. The rich overseeing the laws to keep the poor as slaves while extending their wealth and power is only 10 percent democratic, with 9 percent serving the 1 percent body of monarchs. Here and there we are catching a few thieves who have cheated a few millions, while the real ones remain untouchable by means of a strangled democracy that they have taken hostage.

The desire for profit is quite normal. However, capitalism is not a synonym for cruel exploitation. Spending millions in lobbying to lower salaries and reduce taxes is messing with laws of country for maximizing profit. After all, the less one pays in taxes the more profit, forcing the low-paid to make up for it, and miserably so. This is a clear example of legalization of theft at a very large scale, and then in a democracy.

Think about the following observation instead of feeling offended. When I eat, I always have my dog’s share in mind, and he knows that. The majority of us, however, simply eat our dinner not even remembering that we have a dog. At the end, if anything is left in our plate, assuming that the dog is closer than the trashcan, we let the dog have a taste of our food. The latter is the scenario when we replace the basic social services with the trickle down theory.

Basic social services are the right of a person in a society, not a consequence of being lucky to have a job as the servant of a king. The rich receive the very best of medical and other services at the cost of miserable lives of the poor who pay a high percentage of their income in taxes and live their lives under debt and heavy interests, chasing the mirage of a bitter retirement that keeps moving away from them.

One way to reduce the effects of vulture capitalists is for a democracy to identify the basic needs for a reasonably secure social life and provide it for its citizens, while allowing the private sector to compete. However, the cancerous cells of vulture capitalists have spread too far for a democratic treatment of the social disease we are suffering from. One possible scenario is for many of us to parish under the agony of poverty so the remaining miserable will see their future when they go to Florida’s e-voting machines, only until another breed of bushes begin crawling on the trees of humanity.

Scientists should look for means of breaking the vicious cycle of takeover of vulture capitalists. It is the responsibility of scientists to solve our social problems just as they find solutions for our scientific problems. I am not disputing Jesus’ divinity when I say that he was a social scientist who sacrificed his life for the salvation of humanity. After two thousand years we are still making movies of His heroic life. In contrast, a social scientist serving the purpose of a vulture capitalist is an imposter.

For lack of a better name I will refer to the following phenomenon as the principle of mutual devouring. A vulture capitalist wants to absorb as much wealth as he can, so other vultures like him receive less of it. In doing so, a vulture capitalist is not concerned about the impact he is having on his nation.

Thus, when a person is allowed to take billions paying little tax, and to pay as little for wages as he desires, he will use it to the maximum limits in order to increase his wealth. It is therefore the responsibility of the president and the congress to set these limits right so the middle class prospers and poverty vanishes.

It is treason to change the laws so the rich will have the opportunity to suck the wealth of a nation burying the middle class under debt so the following presidents will help them pay their debts for years to come. A democracy should be able to recognize such obvious cases of treason and to properly punish the perpetrators.

What is the point of a roller coaster life resulting from vulture capitalists playing chess against each other for redirecting profit? Is this how the science of sociology defines its object of study?

May God continue to bless America

This poetry was posted on 9/9/06 at Bless America, and is a close description of my life, and my impressions.

What is the difference between the Romans raiding a country with swords, and the Administration devastating our nation with new laws, and neglecting our constitution? The only difference is the magnitude of the people affected by the Administration.

The most horrible form of terrorism is the one that comes silently from within. It is terrible to become homeless and lose your family so someone will make a huge profit. The definition of terrorism does not necessarily include explosions and WMD, despite the fact that the Administration portrays it as such.

The game of numbers

This note was posted on 3/31/06 at Game of Numbers.

Since the elections I had not watch any news channel, and my life was quite peaceful. Today I decided to take a peak. Suddenly the topic of illegal immigrants popped up. I also realized that the President, at Cancoon, taught immigrants how to make hotdogs for their low wages.

A while ago I heard a quote from Mr. Greenbag, something like “Americans live 7 times better than the rest of the world”. This is not a wrong figure. All you need to do is to leave out a few million poor and homeless, then take the average over 100, 000 middle class Americans for each Mr. Greenback. He probably mentioned the American Dream of living in a lender-owned house as if the rest of the world live in caves.

The French mathematician D’Alembert observed that some mathematicians are confusing mathematical formalism with some kind of game. His idea was that a person should pay attention to the reality outside of his head. Russell got a Nobel Prize for following his advice.

McCarthy argues that the world will reach the American standard of living in near future, solely using multiplication and division. When General Ford felt hot while playing baseball at the age of 90, and in 90-degree weather, helicopters were ready to take off. On the other hand, the corpses of the homeless are found by following their smell. McCarthy is a scientist trying to create hope for a better future, assuming that we are rational beings.

Our brain restructures itself in order to accommodate for new mechanisms of learning and thinking. At about the age of four the restructuring is quite extensive and results in a lot of loss of data. The restructuring at the about the age of 18 prepares us for abstract thinking. The last restructuring coincides with a change of color of our hair. It seems that we become wiser mainly because we cannot perform like the days we were young.

We owe the notion of restructuring of brain to Piaget. Mark Twain believed that everything would be great so long as we were born old and aged backwards. A noble thought so long as no one would be born like Rumsfeld and Greenberg. Unfortunately, socially we have not made it to the age of four, yet. If our social restructuring is going to work like our brain, there will be a rebirth as Jesus prescribed as a requirement to enter the Kingdom. I pray it will be peaceful.

Recently, CNN has been showing the sad degree of poverty in North Korea. Since we have a lot more of that right here in our country, I was confused as to why CNN bothers to go that far away to portray the agony of poverty. I quickly noticed that our poor do not have TV. In order for CNN to put a price tag on its commercials it must somehow demonstrate that the viewers can afford some of the products being advertised during their programs.

It is then that it became clear why Lou Dobbs focuses on issues relating to the Middle Class. By the way, this is not about Mr. Dobbs. Nevertheless, exactly what is the value of showing the middle class the quality of their next destination? Our middle class is decaying at a high rate of attrition and soon Lou will have very small population to sell commercials to. With regard to the ridiculous gas prices, the principle of demand and supply is indeed valid. However, the demand is on who gets the billions of dollars. Is it the banks, or the oil companies? Obviously, the supply of dollars is not unlimited, while the corporations have a huge need for enormous numbers of them. These idiots have only learned that numbers with more digits are better.

The conservation they are encouraging has nothing to do with demand and supply of oil. What they want is to keep their reserves for longer periods and sell it at artificially high prices. That way, their descendents will enjoy the ride for generations, laughing at dummies like us.

Interestingly, TXU (Texas Electricity company) advertises that it is spending billions for a secure future for our energy needs. What they really are doing is ripping us off for their lavish spending in securing their continued future profits. In particular, as the customers are dropping due to mass migration to poverty class, TXU prices have been rising rapidly in order to make up for their targeted levels of profit. Then, they blame us for not conserving where in actuality the more we conserve the higher the prices will go.

The evolution of intelligence

This note was published on 3/13/06 at Evolution of Intelligence.

It is safe to assume that it is impossible for a complex intelligent mechanism to come into existence without an evolutionary process. However, without the duality and interaction of sexes it is hard to imagine that evolution would have had consequences beyond plain adaptation, which accounts mostly for our physical differences.

Now, the same mechanism can also have a mule as an offspring. Furthermore, the birth of Leonardo da Vinci and Karl Rove demonstrate that religious blessing of a marriage is not a necessary requirement for intelligent offspring. There are no birth privileges other than genetic inheritance.

It is dangerous to hear someone say that his family is privileged. As far as science can tell, some of us did not branch off of Neanderthals raped by gorillas, and others off of chimpanzees assaulted by Neanderthals. We are one and the same species known as Homo Sapiens with some physical differences resulting from adaptation. The whole purpose of science is to reduce the effects of birth defects and other unlucky incidents.

There is no social law that prescribes the creation of artificial privileges between a child born to a banker and one born to a family labeled as poor. One child should not have to be enslaved by Student Loan so the other child can lavishly spend the interests while growing his capital to capture more slaves.

Imposing equality is unjustifiable, though. Suppose half of us are born blind. Is it just to take one eye from each of the other half and give it to a blind? It is equally unjustifiable to remove the eyes of thousands so they will be used by those labeled as privileged.

A privileged Saudi prince does not even know the names of all of his wives while many can only afford a leftover by serving the prince. The Saudi family will dump privileged children like bushes until there will be nowhere to grow but the sands of the desert. The role of intelligence is to question whether they should be helped to agonize millions of Arabs until they reach that stage? That is even assuming that the help is not provided so our privileged ones will collect their sacks of money!

It is reasonable to conjecture that life usually manages to create intelligence. Once that happens, the intelligent life form becomes equipped to commit the Great Sin through self-awareness. Eventually, the extent of gap between the enslaved and the masters gives rise to a sequence of clashes until it is replaced with another cycle of darkness.

Intelligence enables us to hunt for survival, and then use the same weapon to take away our neighbor’s possessions. It aids us in building homes as we destroy the home of our homes. The intelligence of the oppressed is passionate and caring until they gain power. The intelligence of the powerful is greedy and selfish.

It is highly improbable that intelligent beings ever leave their planet. The means for inter-star transportations require far more scientific progress than the means of mass destruction. The initial applications of intelligence cannot possibly be for anything other than survival, unless the intelligent beings are the result of a sudden robotic creation.

In any form of intelligent life, when a certain level of civilization is reached, there will be those who would want unlimited amount of welfare and pleasure. For every such being, there will have to be several thousand poor and needy at various levels of service. Thus, the beings will be overly occupied with the mess of their sub-intelligent individuals rather than cooperating effectively in scientific matters.

Let us imagine a hypothetically peaceful form of intelligent life. It stands to reason to assume that there will be anomalies, say one in a million. Perhaps most of these anomalies will not cause any more damage than John Wayne Gacy. However, there will be those who will seek power and control much like we naturally do. As a matter of fact, seeking power and exploitation of others for personal desires seem to be the initial products of intelligence.

Contrary to the preceding hypothesis, it so appears that the anomalies of our species are the peaceful ones with a slightly higher percentage than one in a million. There are very few cases like Cyrus the Great in our history filled with Alexander the Greats. Two thousand years after we crucified Jesus, we are still slaughtering one another in his name just as Pope Urban II encouraged us. The only difference is that we have replaced the bravery of the knights with precision bombs. After all our intelligence had to complement our bigger dreams of ambition.

We may or may not be a good sample of intelligence in the universe of existence. Furthermore, the conclusions are drawn from our past and present. However, it is hard to imagine intelligent beings that start thinking about a spaceship as soon as their Eve takes a bite off the apple of knowledge.

The first sign of intelligence is the ability to retain experiences by passing them on to the next generation. It is more likely that such experiences will be filled with stories of aggression and invasion. When these stories get written down they create the foundation for historical feuds with a few exceptions such as the message of Jesus.

The shift to worldwide peace and cooperation needs a huge shift in perspective while we have difficulty quitting smoking. Revolutions and freedom wars will only get us closer to our destiny. The cycles of darkness and light are perpetual.

Humanity as a whole evolves and adapts like plants. The liars and cheaters in control affect the behavior of those hoping to serve as leaders. Owing it to their charlatan nature, they live better and therefore longer while affecting more generations. This shapes up the overall behavior of humanity.

To every action there is a reaction, and the natural response to an obvious oppression is to turn into a charlatan just to survive. Virtues of honor, patriotism and love for our kind are replaced with low instinct-driven behavior for survival.

We have replaced bravery and honor with cheating and deceptions to the point of extinction of the latter. Gathering money has become the only goal for most of us whether we are doctors, scientists or politicians. It is the desire for pursuit of money that shapes our morals and determines our ethics. How can this possibly change to a worldwide cooperation for peace and happiness for all, with the goal of fighting the real enemy, the forces of universe?

It is sad to imagine no ears to hear Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony through the conduit of creativities including those of Edison and Marconi. Yet, the same mechanism that has filled our lives with romance and comfort is also responsible for robbing us from living a decent life. The robbers are sub-intelligent anomalies of our species incapable of any form of creativity, or any taste for enjoying it.

Sub-intelligent kind can only feel pleasure in ways that Nero could. Unlike their predecessors they enjoy watching the consequences of their atrocious behavior on high-resolution big screen inventions of our intelligent kind. We know Bin Laden was watching the twin towers.

On the other hand, hearing Beethoven on a planet other than earth will be the first step towards immortality and perpetual evolution of terrestrial intelligence. We have come a long way making a worldwide scientific cooperation reality. Alas, in parallel we have compounded worldwide feud at a much higher rate.

The disease of Pregnancy

This note was published on 2/23/06 at Pregnancy.

In 1977 I came to America to do graduate work in mathematics. I did my master in one year in New Mexico, and three years later I earned my Ph.D. from Colorado State University. Perhaps you have noticed that shortly after my arrival in the US there was a revolution in Iran, the country from which I came.

You may also recall that, Burzhisnky with the help of CIA had succeeded in convincing president Jimmy Carter on the issue of creating chaos in the Middle East because the Shah was trying to achieve nuclear energy. Later, Mr. Carter even got a Nobel Peace Prize for approving the plan. After all, the best way to weaken Japan and Russia was to take away their customers.

I entered America with a great government scholarship only to lose it three semesters later. As a result, I had to complete my Ph.D. by working at restaurants in addition to teaching assistantship. But while I had the scholarship, the embassy would also pay for medical insurance premium. So, in New Mexico I bought health insurance from a company recommended by the university. I am trying to leave the name of the company out for no reason other than not being sure which one it was. Yes, they are all the same.

In the summer of 1978, when leaving New Mexico for Colorado my wife was three months pregnant. I was instructed by the university to see the insurance agent prior to moving. In fact I remember asking, “Isn’t the insurance for the whole country”? I do not remember the answer, though.

The agent gave me the name and address of another agent in Fort Collins and asked me to sign papers for canceling our insurance. I asked about the use of the term “cancel”. He assured me that it was just a technicality, and that the agent in Colorado will have all the information to continue our insurance.

The agent in Colorado asked me a few questions and then said that he cannot insure us due to a pre-existing condition. Keep in mind I thought that health insurance is for health matters. I had no clue that pregnancy is some kind of disease. In fact, I could not understand the relevance of a pre-existing condition. So, if someone gets sick before seeing an agent he should just die?

Remarkably, except for a brief period that President Clinton was in the office, things have only gotten much worse for Americans, despite the fact that the CIA has succeeded in destroying several countries since then. So, who is benefiting from all of this chaos and confusion?

According to chaos theory, a small anomaly may result in catastrophic repercussions. Thus, the disruption of the relationship between Russia and its customers has given an unexpected rise to a bunch of stupid Mullahs. Since no one can imagine such idiots getting their hands on nuclear weapons, the next target for well-tested weapons of the sole superpower has already started blinking.

Whether this was a calculated outcome or a miscalculation is irrelevant. The repercussions are awaiting the world. After all, one cannot harvest wheat by planting barley seeds. May God help us elect more peaceful and wise presidents in the future, if there is one.

Inflation and tax deductions

This note was posted on 2/22/06 at Inflation.

Suppose you can survive for three days on a hundred dollars, buying items of basic need only. At a later time you realize that you can only survive for two days on a hundred dollars. The loss of one day in your buying power is known as inflation.

To calculate the rate of inflation, take the length of the interval between the two points of your buying power and divide it by number of months in the interval. The only problem is that these days the interval is usually smaller than a month. That is, for calculating the rate of inflation you need multiplication rather than division.

Take a look at your deductions as you do your taxes. Are you able to deduct anywhere near what you could in earlier years? Thus, the President can proudly announce that he did not raise taxes on you! Instead, he has simply denied you from receiving proper refund. We may call this phenomenon the invisible form of inflation.

We have an interesting technique of creating illusions, even though everyone can tell the difference. You have noticed that anymore you are being taxed on certain employer-paid benefits. Evidently this is not raising taxes because it does not apply to those who pay you, nor it applies to the President himself. You and I do not count in the grand scheme of things. Whether we do or do not notice such things is utterly irrelevant.

Well, taxes are used to protect us. For instance, the bridges must be protected because we sleep under them. Thus, our property is being protected. Taxes spent on land security are not for protecting business interests of certain folks in foreign countries. Not at all! The whole purpose of Home security is to protect the homes of the homeless.

Does Good really win, ever?

This note was published on 2/14/06 at Does Good Win.

The birth of the notion of philosophy coincides with that of Homo Sapiens. We either seek or conceive a philosophical point of view and live our live under its control. It may be called super ego, or anything you want. The important thing is that we live in accordance to our view of life and our beliefs.

The notions of Good and Evil seem to have been around since the dawn of earliest civilizations, in one form or another. The general perception is that the target of Good is outside of itself. It intends to eliminate the problems that harm others just as they harm it. The Evil’s target, on the other hand, is within its own circle of interest. Anything outside of this circle is either a threat and must be removed, or has a use for the Evil’s selfish intentions.

Put otherwise, Good cannot harm what is outside of it by the very definition of Good. However, Evil will viciously resort to anything that suits its needs. Good is therefore handicapped like a father with a family.

This is a great imbalance and Good is very unlikely to win, ever. What we usually interpret as Good winning at the end is just another Evil presenting itself as a Trojan Horse. Nevertheless, Good does occasionally surface for short bursts and is quieted quickly, by the Evil. The best we can do is to help extend the period of reign of Good.

It seems as if, unless you are lucky to be able to sell your soul and enter, even the lowest circle of Evil’s Kingdom, your dreams will be too small for anything than a life of slavery and sacrificing your children for the wars of Evil. However, once you enter the Evil’s circle there is no return. Your life will be spent worrying from your own shadow, because those who draw sword are killed with sword.

Evil’s weakness is arrogance. It simply cannot avoid it because arrogance is in Evil’s nature. Sooner or later, it is the arrogance that exposes the Evil. However, in our time that can be controlled through media, especially TV. So, it seems that we are indeed doomed. Not so fast. Evil needs fuel to shine its arrogance.

Good has no need for power, while evil can only exist through power. As Evil seeks power, it will need more and more resources to eliminate anomalies that get in the way of its plans. Eventually, it gets large enough for anomalies to rise from within, and the Good gets a brief chance to rectify the damages caused by Evil.

We can help extend the period of reign of Good by staying informed and alert. Evil, feeds on chaos and confusion. It wants everyone lost, in debt, mourning, etc, and itself living the miserable life of being in control of situation, carefully watching everything in order to maintain its reign. We cannot stop Evil because it is not a particular person. In fact Evil can surface through the holiest person. But we can reduce its periods of reign to a point where it has little effect on pulling us towards the prophesized Armageddon.

Santa's Gift to the President

This note was published on 12/15/05 at Santa's Gift

Moderated capitalism is natural and healthy. On the other hand, unregulated capitalism is the reckless work of modern barbarians, AKA capitalists. The purpose of science is to bring better lives to all of us. However, without capitalism there will be little motivation for distributing and delivering the results of scientific discoveries. But does that mean that we should close down public schools so capitalists can find another source for investment?

When I was teaching at the University of South Carolina at Spartanburg, in mid nineties, I heard that a high percentage of the funds for state institutions are being transferred to private colleges. Soon it became clear that the children of the rich attended those colleges. Since the tax that the rich pay is worth more than what general public pays, it was decided that the tax money should be spent for the education of the children of the rich. This behavior has nothing to do with the notion of capitalism.

Capitalism is distinct from manipulating a nation in order to create dirty opportunities of profitability for a few. In the same vain that artists, athletes and scientist come across new ideas, a true capitalist finds new ways of providing services. A service provider does not also make the laws of how to use his services, just as an artist cannot make laws that force you to buy his work. A capitalist owns his capital just as an artist owns his talent. They both go through hardship in perfecting their ideas, and take all kinds of risks. It is their life and they are free to live it in any way they desire.

The President argues that the rich should pay less in taxes so they can create jobs. Indeed, even the President knows this is an utterly false statement regardless of the intent of the person who wrote it for him. While a capitalist is rich, not every rich is a capitalist just as not everyone is an artist. For instance, what happens when a rich takes the money but does not create jobs? Is there any law stipulating that he must create jobs? Is there any law with regard to the way jobs are created? For instance, is the tax relief in our country for creating jobs in other countries? Perhaps a slow growing logarithmic tax bracket will help create more jobs.

Iacocca says, “The speed of boss deteremines the speed of team”. This person borrowed his capital from people, he encouraged those people to sacrifice their lives for making the business debt-free, and then he ditched them taking 26 millions in personal income. In an unregulated capitalism there are no laws against national crimes because patriatism is redefined to suit the preferences of anomalies of our species.

A true capitalist is a visionary who finds new ways of facilitating the use of scientific discoveries and earns his luxurious life through hard work and by providing useful services. Winning a lottery does not evolve the winner into a visionary unless the person already has the foundation for it. The tax laws correctly observe this fact.

The center of vision of a person in search of treasure is himself. That is his choice and his life. A president, however, should not make the nation bring the treasure to such people. Just as we pay high taxes on our small properties, a rich has to pay taxes on his personal properties, which also includes what is incorrectly labeled as capital. What enters my pocket is income, while capital is what I put back to work.

Churchill says, “Some see private enterprise as a predatory target to be shot, others as a cow to be milked, but few are those who see it as a sturdy horse pulling the wagon."

Indeed, very few any more, if any. It is unfair to make the rich share the miseries of the nation, but they should not be allowed to feed on such miseries either. Nature does not mail its disasters to the poor only. In the same vain, a nation should not be turned into a fat cow of miserable so the milkmen can have a feast until another president rectifies the situation. All presidents are elected by, the poor and the rich, alike.

The President, in a dramatized interview just before elections, stated that the Mexicans crossing the border come to our country so they can take care of their families. Actually, this simply increases the pool of miserable so the price of laber continues to drop. At the end, those who will not find jobs in a foreign country, will have no option but to reluctantly resort to crimes to feed their families.

It is said that the rich dream big. That is because they sleep more than the poor that bring them the money by working long hours only to feed their children. The poor are merely entitled to the drops of trickle down theory, and then only when it is profitable for the rich.

The profit is the difference between the drop from the rich and the loss of life from the poor. When such profit is taken as personal income, it should be subject to fair tax precisely as the paychecks are, unless free enterprise is a synonym for lawlessness. The most sickening statement is, “Punishing the successful ones”. It is a shame to disguise barbarism as success.

Leonardo da Vinci spent most of his life making horse statues and portrays for the rich so he could spend a fraction of it for his scientific visions. Had he not had to submit to useless visions of the rich, he would have completed the works that were of interest to him. A visionary capitalist is a respectable person with new ideas for improving our lives. A visionless rich in seek of profit will cause the nation, and the world great losses.

We remember President Clinton because he did not distribute ice bags prior to elections and then disappear when caterina devastated Louisiana. I do not know in what way Jesus has changed the President’s heart. But I doubt Jesus would bother with the mechanical heart of his Aristotle.

I remember a major fishing company lost a large number of customers for its ways of treating dolphins that were caught in nets. Perhaps the President considers a huge population of citizens are less intelligent than dolphins.

Some believe life is the result of a sequence of accidents. Such random accidents based on greed and stupidity will also end it, unless the kingdom of knowledge and love replaces it. I am not certain that kingdom will ever come when elections are essentially war of giants of wealth and riches.

Memory and Intelligence

This was published on December 2, 2005 at Memory and Intelligence.

Our abstraction for a computational model is the Turing Machine (TM), which Kleene showed to be equivalent to his mathematical model. The TM model includes the notion of memory, in fact infinite memory. Let us first convince ourselves that infinite amount of data requires infinite storage space.

The memory in TM is an infinite tape of cells. One can write a single symbol from a finite set of alphabet on each cell. The collection of markings on a finite number of cells constitutes the encoding of the piece of data they represent.

Let us begin with the assumption that we have been able to encode an infinite amount of data on a finite number of cells. We may assume that the number of cells is a multiple of 2, or else we can simply add a few blank cells. We are going to split the tape in two equal parts. We may assume that the splitting does not occur inside an encoding. Otherwise we can add sufficient blanks to avoid that.

With these assumptions, let us split the finite tape into two equal parts. At least one of the two parts must contain an infinite amount of data recorded on it, for otherwise we must have started out with a finite amount of data. We take the half with infinite data on it for our next splitting. In a finite number of steps we will reach a single cell with infinite amount of data recorded on it. Since this is absurd, our assumption must be false (reductio ad absurdum).

Turing believed that TM is effectively equivalent to a human brain, at least with respect to computation. Computation requires data representation, and our finite brain can only have a finite amount of capacity for storage. Sumerians paved the way for increasing the capacity of our memory by writing on tablets.

History is our memory as species. We enter the whirlpool of Dante’s seven circles when a wicked captures the resources to take advantage of our vast historical data. So far, our intelligence has helped us avoid the seventh circle and retract.

Our brain’s computational mechanism starts out quite primitively. For instance, if a dog scares us at childhood, we simply generalize our unpleasant experience to all dogs. That is the most primitive form of inductive reasoning. From Piaget’s work it follows that for many of us the 12 years of schooling transforms our brain’s computational mechanisms so we can attend college without relying on our father’s bribery.

Our intellect is the totality of mechanisms of our brain for performing computations, symbolic manipulations and reasoning. Intelligence is the brain’s characteristic allowing the evolution of intellect. Thus, to become an intellect the entity must be intelligent. However, intelligence does not guaranty intellectual growth.

The computational mechanisms of Kleene’s model are mathematical notions, such as composition of functions. On the other hand, TM model comprises of mechanical actions such as reading and writing. Nevertheless, the two models are equivalent, and according to Turing’s belief the model is no less powerful than our intelligence.

The Church-Turing Thesis and its philosophical consequences are not the topic of this article. Here, we agree with the possibility of building a specific TM (like writing a program) that can learn. A machine has the ability to learn if it can evolve its reasoning mechanisms.

The idea of stored program was the first step towards endowing machines with intelligence. The next break through will come with the understanding of how a child’s reasoning mechanisms evolve while gaining more information.

The intelligence of a person growing up in a jungle is no less than one going to school in a modern city. Only the types of data that their brain manipulates are different. For instance, without exposure to mathematics brain does not evolve its abstract reasoning mechanisms.

With regard to our memory as species we only recall historical wounds and feuds, very much the same way that we retain our fear of a dog that scared us at childhood. The computational mechanisms acting upon the data stored in our historical memory are probably equivalent to that of a six-year-old’s. Turing might equate that to Kleene’s finite automaton, certainly not equivalent to TM.

Einstein was suspicious about the universe being infinite. However, he had no doubts about the cardinality of human stupidity. So, why is it that, when we are poor we think about the future of all children, but localize that view to our own children once we get rich? Did Piaget miss something about the evolution of our reasoning?

The most likely cause of our death seems to be stupidity. We are still killing one another for historical myth and fiction. When a socially stupid takes power in a third-world country, even in our days thousands are tortured to death. Saddam Hussein is only a few years older than I am.

The term social in this context refers to our scientific view of existence as species, the view that one acquires from a college of liberal arts. We have not grown up from the days of Attila except for building sophisticated computerized weapons.

The sex paradox and playboy anomaly

This was published on Noverber 28, 2005 at Sex Paradox.

It is unfair to hand over our children to the treacherous life ahead of them without proper education. In particular, they get their sex education from anyone anywhere and in most cases we fail them. Political games have shifted the focus to abuse of abortion, implying that stopping abortion will end teenage pregnancy.

Abortion is a consequence, not the source of the problem. Of course legalizing unconditional abortion will only make things worse. The point is not to lose sight of the cause by focusing on the consequences only.

Many social problems are controlled by shaping a child’s view in accordance to traditions that have worked over long intervals in the past. Unfortunately, traditions might have mutated to serve the purpose of a certain class of people. Most adults are literally blind with regard to the validity of a particular item of tradition. However, children see things more naturally until we turn them into volkens of Star Trek.

Sex education seems paradoxical due to inadequate volume of direct research in this area. Obviously we cannot show children how two adults perform intercourse and try to explain it to them. We also face the fact that without jumping into a pool one cannot learn to swim. Nevertheless, we have solved much harder problems. We can find a reasonable solution for sex education just as well. After all, opinions may not correspond to the findings of scientific research.

The research on this social topic requires the participation of scientists with different backgrounds and from different corners of the world. Freud is only one such example. We cannot apply the first reasonable guess to our children, and then apologies for ruining their lives. The research will in fact take several generations of scientists and needs continued worldwide support.

It took Tycho Brahe a lifetime of observations before Kepler could derive his laws and Newton would formulate them mathematically, and yet that was just the beginning. With regard to sex we seem to be content with Freud-like views and their interpretations for either acceptance or rejection of those views for inclusion in a college textbook, or a bestseller. Research in this domain is considerably more complex than the work of Jean Piaget because it involves the effects of background on a child’s perception and interpretation of educational presentations.

The lack of proper education leaves children defenseless against anomalies. A person buying a playboy magazine is paying the producer so he can enjoy the life of Tiberius Caesar on Isles of Capri, and thank the buyer for his donation with pictures of producer’s life filled with nothing but sex entertainment.

Perhaps we can educate our children to avoid spending their money on useless pictures and instead enjoy an ice cream with their friends. Religion does not seem to be the weapon of choice against the temptations of playboy-like anomalies. Scare tactics do not really work until Simba experiences the effects of our failure to protect him against the laughing hyenas.

Like other areas of our success, continued scientific research will help us here too. However, closing down playboy will not save our little girls. Perhaps we can move the burden of tax from the parents of those girls to their abusers. Education will not be effective when both parents have to hold multiple jobs just to feed their children and pay for their medical insurance.

Existence of God and linguistic contradictions

This was published on October 30, 2005 at Existence of God.

Pascal rejected Descartes application of his axiomatic system to the proof of existence of God. After all, there is no more primitive axiom than accepting the existence of a creator. Despite the main theme of Existentialism, i.e. rejection of systematic proof of main ideas, Jean-Paul Sartre proves the lack of existence of God via a contradiction.

Sartre’s contradiction is that, in order to create himself God must have existed before his own existence. As the word indicates, contradiction is a characteristic of our linguistic interpretations of existence. Descartes axiomatic system, like any of our creations has a specific domain of application, as clearly indicated by Pascal.

The literal meaning of creation is to bring something into existence from nothing. However, the only justifiable absolute is that nothing comes out of nothing. Louis Pasteur did not have easy time demonstrating that bricks do not create scorpion. Bertrand Russell failed to derive all of mathematics from logic alone. It turned out that we actually needed a mathematical entity, such as the empty set to start with. We can list a large number of names that showed us the opposite as well. What exists does not vanish, it simply transforms.

Start with ourselves and assume that we miraculously continue to exist for a few billion years, perpetually evolving. Considering the recent declaration of war by the Iranian President I would rather believe in Armageddon. After all, President Bush needs excuses to justify his occupation of the White House. Nevertheless, a few billion years from now, it would be quite correct to say that we created ourselves. It seems reasonable to assume that, what we will be then will have no resemblance to our current form.

Billions of years of existence may not qualify a being for God. Our universe, as a tiny black hole in another universe, blew out making a big bang. It seemed absurd to assume that the entire existence was sitting idle forever and suddenly decided to create a universe. So, we came up with the theory of repeated big bangs.

It is just as absurd to assume that our bounded universe is the whole existence. In each big bang a quark or two will find their path perpendicular to our universe and will vanish into nowhere land. This can happen regardless of force fields and whatever else, unless quarks also get homesick. Thus, before the big bang that created our universe all quarks would have disappeared into loneliness.

The first conclusion is that, contrary to Hilbert’s belief existence is unbounded. The second conclusion is that, our universe is no more than a particle in the limitlessness of existence. However, that does not imply that we are nothing either. But the main point here is that the existence, whatever it is, has always been and God could have been just as He says, “I am”. The time of His becoming may not be expressible by our, or any number system.

Existentialism comprises of vast literature. A central point of the philosophy is our ability to choose, and the consequences of choices we make. All philosophical doctrines and areas of science should continue to evolve. So, the point I am making is not against Existentialism. However, Jesus without access to a fancy library, and while being arrested, summarized the whole idea in one simple statement. One who draws sword shall be killed with sword.

Morris Meterling says something like, had God endowed a horse with intelligence it would portray God as Pegasus. A thousand years before him, Khayam asks the question, “What is the difference between me and you if you hurt me for my bad deeds?”. And a thousand years before him Jesus gives us the answer in the Lord’s Prayer. Perhaps God created us in His image by endowing us with intelligence so we can make choices beyond our instinctive drives. That could be the whole extent of our resemblence to God. It seems reasonable that along with the ability to choose, here and there He also showed us better choices.

Existentialism also dismisses any generality of the notion of good and evil. In some context the claim is correct, as is the case with just about everything that Freud said. However, at a time that we made laws to protect the interests of Kings, Caesars and Pharaohs, Moses brings the Ten Commandments. I would expect something more like, “One who scratches a Jew shalt be beheaded”. But the Commandments are abstract and universal. Furthermore, Jesus relieved us from ever increasing procedures for pleasing God. He illustrated the way of life with His teachings and life.

We still exist mainly for the sacrifices made by believers, in particular the followers of the Way of Jesus. A person seeking profit and control would do what Mussolini did to Africa, not what monks did. Whether or not a creator exists, our ability to think, so we may continue to exist depends on our choice to walk the peaceful path outlined by Jesus.

Candy Lizard would love to make a Genghis Khan out of President Bush, or more appropriately, George Khan. We are lucky to live in a time frame that Constitution cannot be violated to unjustifiable extents.

My life has been a sequence of painful experiences for closely following the catechism that I was taught at childhood. Nonetheless, so far I have no regrets whatsoever. May it remain so for another moment. Perhaps I should mention that I cannot convince myself of another life. But I find no pride in rejecting God and His ways, either.
